AtéCé Graphic Products has set up a completely new ink mixing plant in Alkmaar. “Which is part of the implementation of strategic steps that we took at the end of last year. I am referring to the acquisition of Beijersbergen & Partners”, says Remco Smit sales director Benelux. “Meanwhile Beijersbergen has moved from Amersfoort and moved into a new location in Alkmaar, opposite our international logistics center. In this new environment, the activities of Beijersbergen are fully integrated within AtéCé and we act as one total supplier of inks and other graphic materials.”

Wim van Mastrigt played an important role in the integration. As business development manager within AtéCé, he is responsible for the further professionalization of the printing inks division. “That goes far beyond just offset inks,” he says. “Today, AtéCé also focuses on the packaging market and label industry. In our new ink mixing plant, we have dispensers for both offset and flexo inks for conventional, classic UV and LED UV and food packaging compliant applications.”

As Technical Director & Key Account Manager Pressroom for the Benelux, colleague Tom Kerssens is pleased with the result of the strategic collaboration.“In all modesty I dare to say that the new ink mixing plant in Alkmaar is the largest in the Benelux and is one of the top five in Europe. In addition to the ink brands Sun Chemical, Flint, Siegwerk and our own brand Deutsche Druckfarben, we have a solution for everything with our range and with our new mixing facilities. And if there isn’t one, we look for it and find it. Because within our company there is an enormous amount of ink knowledge and practical experience. We have a state-of-the-art laboratory for inks testing and mixing inks. For this, among other things, we employ three professional colorists and several product specialists. This further underlines AtéCé's professionalism and service orientation. I am very proud of that.”
